My college

Here is a picture of my college. Well... not any more, because I'm (hopefully) going overseas.

Unlike usual, there won't be any Exif metadata in this picture. It went kaputt during HDR processing.

Come to think of it, I can't even remember what I did with this picture. It was pretty experiement. Trial and error for 2 hours. Then I used Photoshop's "Save for Web" function and the colours go astray. Maybe too saturated to be web safe. Oh well...

You can still click it for a larger version though.

New toy!!!

Wee... after a year spent dreaming...... I GOT A 350D!!!

Although I've shot a few pics, I haven't taken it on a serious test drive yet. Final exam is tomorrow.

In the meantime, hope you enjoy this:

Hehe.... sorry. Edited this to the extent that this is more of a "digital art" rather than "digital photograph". I still like it though.

Photoshopping

Recently, I've learned a new photoshop technique that turns photographs into water colour paintings.

Love it.

I'd take this oppertunity to post a new pic too. I'd call it "Window of Golden Oppertunity"

And here's the edited version:

Oh, I've got an edited version of the previous post too:

This would be my new wallpaper :)

Boat House

A scene from the most relaxing holiday spot I've been to: Pedu Lake, Kedah.

The wind there is soo... nice! You even lean your weight towards the wind and let it support your weight (partially of course, and I won't be resposible if you bump your head in the ground)

Ahh... I'd love to just go there and lie down on the lakeside, and relax :)

Moth

I've just posted some pictures of a moth at a forum I frequently visit, and I'm a little too lazy to post it here too. So here you go, enjoy yourself:

Our Neighbour

You're gonna need mad telephoto lenses if you wanna shoot this. Or, just borrow a telescope (or in my case, an observatory). Too bad the owner won't let me increase the focal lenght, worried that I'll spend all day starring at it and won't let go. lol

Hint: Best time to shoot the moon is when its half full. That's when you can see the craters in all its glory.

Aren't they cute? :)
Maybe I should have cropped this a little for a closer look. What do you think?

Hmm... maybe use a mild flash to add some shine to its eyes too.

Another Day Begins...

Sigh... woke up in the morning......
Climb up this stupid flight of stairs (pant...pant...pant......)
And all I get is a day's worth of lectures!
I hate class......

Violent Torrent

Well... so much for first 3 days of my photoblog. I've realised an advantage of this: People can comment annoymously, meaning that they don't have to hold back their criticism. Yay~ That's right! SHOOT ME!!!

Some of my photos were shown in a forum, and some random photo album. But people can't post annoymously, in the forum. In the photo album, people can't comment at all (except for some, like flickr, but virtually nobody ever drops by).

Anyway, I'd just like to thank you all for coming (and actually read me mumbling like an old hag)

Now, feast your eyes on this picture. Its drain water (yucks) rushing down the drain (what else? :p). Took great risk to snap this, since my camera is not weather proof and its raining. My camera got wet from the water splashes too (double yucks!)

Beachside Revisitation

Same spot from the place where the 1st pic is taken. This picture is taken on a second visit to the place, and this time I have a tripod to take this nightshot.

Unwanted prawns

Took this during my IICP HSC 2005 alumni night dinner last year, at Evergreen Laurel Hotel. I was given the honour of being the official event photographer that night (at the expense of chatting with friends, good food, and the muscle cramp in my right hand. I regret it.)

Seems that no one wants to get their hands dirty by peeling prawns!

Sunset

A beautiful sunset at Batu Ferringi, Penang.
This one is taken from the beach behind Crown Prince Hotel.
It's my favourite picture so far, in fact its my wallpaper.
